A full Scandanavian theme would be great! We could visit the various countries. . .

 I support your idea. The OP wants to include IKEA, WTF? Let's include Exxon and BP. :silly: She or he should change the thread title. IKEA sucks. :balloon:

Maybe it's here in the states, but most people i know back home in germany buy their furniture from ikea and have no issues with it. I bought closet from Ikea over 10 years ago and even had it shipped to the states and to this day it's still in great condition. My best friend who has moved many times because her husband is in the military bought most of their furniture from ikea and still has most of them to this day, even after moving many times.

Maybe Europeans are better at putting it together... never had any problems with Ikea Furniture or the Meatballs Bookworm!!

Those of us with style buy our furniture already built. :haha: :silly:

But I hope you get your kit theme. Hopefully it comes with the tools or maybe Bob can help you out. :haha:

We could have items that fit together, but the instructions to assemble them are in Swedish. And they ultimately are just a recipe for nachos.

Oh golly no. IKEA is the last thing I think of when I think of Scandinavia. More like skiing, beautiful blondes, well run governments, beautiful blondes, nice cars, maybe some beautiful blondes, and some Viking things too....

:haha: :haha: I would like a modern German theme. Don't know about beautiful blondes, but as long as it is inclusive of males and females I'm in. As for your other statements, we also have nice cars. :D :balloon:

I would love if they expanded upon those items. They are far better, imo, than anything we have gotten in awhile. Same thing with the special furni from the gem event before it too. I get it should be special, but I would not mind an entire theme of either.

haha! all truth. i've lived in stockholm for 15 years (born and raised in usa). ;) ikea is the yadda over here, and quite reliable, as far as quality goes, (don't know how or if it's different in the usa), so maybe an ikea theme could be cute. but a scandinavian theme would be BOMB! best items i've ever seen in this game, hands down, and i've been here lil' while.

My IKEA sofa, chair and a rug are 5 years old and still like new, nothing ever fell apart, slip covers wash great. Curious to know if the negative comments are from personal experience.

I'm sure they have some good quality pieces there like your sofa. They opened an IKEA near me, but I haven't really had to shop there since I have too much furniture already. :haha: I have read that you should stick to glass, wood, metal or designer pieces when shopping at IKEA.

If I'm going window shopping for furniture I prefer higher end stores that want to charge part of your soul as well as your first born child.... but they deliver and it's already built for you. :D

In that case I would leave all the price tags on, and frame the sales reciept :haha:

So you're saying people who shop ikea don't have style? Maybe if you go overseas , you will surprised how many people shop ikea and how nice those furniture are. Also i don't mind putting my own furniture together, for some it might be too much work or they might not be handy enough to do it themselves but that has nothing to do with the quality of the furniture.

Maybe it's just here in the states, if you look at most furniture here in the states the wood is not good quality unless you buy expensive furniture. I never bought anything from Ikea here in the states so i'm not sure if it's the quality that's bad or people just don't know how to put the items together since most are so used to buying furniture already put together. Growing up n germany no matter where you buy your furniture you have to put them together yourself as far as i can remember. Might have changed now since i been in the states from a while now.
