When I turn 65 I'll start getting vaccinated for crap. My immune system already fought off covid. I try to get around every bug I can to keep my system agile and strong. When it's my turn for a dirt nap, so be it. Death and I are old friends no matter how it finally finds me.

Not yet, I'm not in a high risk category or a healthcare worker. I think they're starting to vaccinate teachers in Nashville, but beyond that most of your normal, under 55 populous still hasn't been able to get them here.

I am hearing that if you're dead-set on getting the vaccine, that if you show up at one of the clinics late in the day and ask sometimes they can. They are apparently having to throw vaccines away at the end of the day if not enough people have shown up that day. That may be primarily here in the south though, not everyone here is sold on them.

Congratulations on getting yours though! I've heard from a couple of doctors that have already gone through it that the 2nd is the worst. I hope you get to bouncing back quickly.

We have limited pfizer and blood clotting astrazeneca which is not recommended for under 50s.. Personally I am waiting for Novavax. which is a more traditional protein vax...Hoping by the time its approved and in OZ we can choose our poison..

We got Pfizer about 10 days ago. No side effects at all.

I read an excellent article about why we shouldn't worry all that much about which vaccine we get from an efficacy standpoint. I wanted Moderna, but the article made me realize it really didn't matter for me. I know it does matter for pregnant women and other reasons though.
