k- so here's the scoop-Imma be in hospital in a couple days, yeah there is free wifi but who knows how good it will work-I will be kinda dope ish-so keep that in mind if I'm on posting.

packing important stuff first like the cell phone, ipad, laptop and a nice extension cord for it to reach the bed ( learned this one ages ago)

still haven't packed clothing-mother nature has been strange-we had like 70 degrees now it's 40 so dunno what the heck to pack-prolly come home looking like im ready for winter and it will be 90+ or it could go the other way-would love some really nice spring weather days.

That will happen once I'm home recovering and can't do much outside-I betcha it will!!

I was taking a break from forums for a bit. I've been busy with work, enjoying the outdoors when the weather is beautiful after work, working out and exercising at home. Just busy with real life stuff.

I'm glad you're up moving around some. Are those nurses taking good care of ya.. I hope they are. Hopefully the Dr will release ya tomorrow.. let me know how your doing

This weekend I'm going roller skating and I can't wait. Back in my High School days I use to roller skate like the kids on Roll Bounce :D :haha: It's been a few years since I've done it so I hope I can still do it

Here's ya a video of Roll Bounce of what I'm talking about..

Over the years I've found the feeling you feel comes and goes. The more hours you spend in Yo, the harsher the feeling comes on you when you play. I've learned to just get off the game, except to pick my coins. No shopping. No decorating. No trading. And especially no socializing. I've learned that the feeling for me is my brain telling me I need a break. Usually after 1-3 weeks I am up for some more, but it all depends on how well I stayed away. I've also learned to give Yo 1-2 hours max when I do play. The 8 hour marathons from 2009 ruined me for a while. So now I only play when its fun, and I avoid it like the plague when it isn't.

It's the socializing part that wore me down, I was constantly surrounded with broken and damaged people that aren't happy with their lives and the more they confided in me the more difficult it became to let them go or avoid hearing them out. Eventually, my system couldn't handle any more sad stories and the whole game atmosphere became a miserable place. Part of this is my fault because i wanted to be everyone's favorite friend and I made way for other people to find me a perfect match to offload their secrets to, sometimes I encountered undeserving and deceptive people, other times it was people who are genuinely suffering and needed someone just to know that they are struggling in life. I wholeheartedly sympathize with everyone's struggles but we all have our own demons, no one is capable of living the "perfect life" it's impossible and against human nature.

Very interesting. You struggle with the same demon many pastors do. Part of being a religious leader is listening to the burdens of people. Part of listening to the heart wrenching truth of some people is that it rubs off on your soul. And part of it rubbing off on your soul is that it can and will wear you out. It is why people limit friendships. It is why people are reluctant to help a charity. It is why people won't look at a homeless person. Getting involved with anyone who is hurting, ultimately means a "transfer of pain" is possible and likely. It can also mean a direct reduction in resources as we try to help. All of this is not what we were designed to be.

I'm not going to preach here because I know how you feel about faith. But I will encourage you. Your heart is in the right place! You will NEVER be wrong for wanting to help a broken person. NEVER. But their salvation and truth comes in the WAY in which we help. Here is the secret - It is not ok to let someone unload on us about their issues, without demanding they be accountable for the fix. We are not a dumping ground for problems. We can listen, but then we have to ask them to identify their solutions. They have to think about what they need to do in order to improve their lot in life. And if their choice is to live with it and complain - then they are toxic and you need to get the hell away from them. You can help fix a PROBLEM - but you will never ever fix a TOXIC person. I call them "serial complainers" or "professional whiners". They don't want to do a damn thing to make things better, but by golly we are going to hear all about it.

At my church we have a food pantry for those who need help. The pantry is not for the serially unemployed. It is not for the weekly trip to feed the kids because I spend grocery money on drugs. It is not for every homeless person to raid. If an individual needs help, they get to make an appointment and come in and talk about it. They get to make their case, develop an action plan to improve their place, and a set a time limit to meet their goals. THEN they get help and they have to come in weekly to talk about where they are in meeting their goals. If no progress is being made, they are cut off. Because the truth about life is that we own where we are and who we are. And it is so easy to grab someone else's life and pull it down with theirs to help them keep floating a little longer. Don't let them pull you down. Teach them to fish, but don't give them your fish.

@ Rod.. Nice feedback to Nick

@Nick.. I totally overlooked your post.. I didn't even see it.. sorry. Why don't you add me in game sometime when you're online. Come hang out with me.. we'll chat and go do some crazy crap in YoWorld. You seem very intellectual for your age so I'd enjoy an intellectual conversation with someone. Yes, I actually have an intellectual side to me but I choose not to show it on here. I promise you.. you won't get complaining from me at all. Only laughter, happiness and a lot of twisted humor.. if that's ok. Btw.. pick and choose FRIENDS wisely. If you ever need to vent and want to vent to me.. I give you my word that anything you say to me stays between me and you.. I promise you that. Whether you believe me or not is totally up to you. I want to say more but I have a bad headache today so I'll just leave this right here. Let me know if you wanna add me Nick
