Went to a University and had an English lecture where they talked about the book Nineteen Eight-Four by George Orwell, and it sounded interesting so I asked my sister to find me it :D

Here's is the blurb:
One of Britain's most popular novels, George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four is set in a society terrorised by a totalitarian ideology propagated by The Party.

Winston Smith works for the Ministry of Truth in London, chief city of Airstrip One. Big Brother stares out from every poster, the Thought Police uncover every act of betrayal. When Winston finds love with Julia, he discovers that life does not have to be dull and deadening, and awakens to new possibilities. Despite the police helicopters that hover and circle overhead, Winston and Julia begin to question the Party; they are drawn towards conspiracy. Yet Big Brother will not tolerate dissent - even in the mind. For those with original thoughts they invented Room 101. . .

Nineteen Eighty-Four is George Orwell's terrifying vision of a totalitarian future in which everything and everyone is slave to a tyrannical regime. The novel also coined many new words and phrases which regular appear in popular culture, such as 'Big Brother', 'thoughtcrime', 'doublethink' and 'Newspeak'.

I love to read! I read a lot of different books -- fiction and non-fiction, dystopian novels, memoirs, sci-fi, horror, graphic novels, historical novels, poetry books, etc etc...

Some that I recommend are:

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children -- I'm reading this right now after a friend recommended it to me and I absolutely love it. I'm sure you will too, especially if you like Harry Potter.

Divergent, which is a much better book than it is a movie.

Tiger's Curse.

I know there's more but I was just about to take a nap before posting this, so maybe I'll add others later on! Happy Reading. :)

I don't think I've ever read a book like that, but I've heard of Aristotle
Is it a good book?

I've read Divergent, and I agree, it was good. (Now, Allegiant....that's debatable :haha:)
I really want to read Miss Peregrine's Home (the books in the series) but our school doesn't start for a few more weeks and I don't get to go to the library often bc it's a bit of a drive

Couple of chapters in to MPHFPC (way too long to type out) and I love it soooo much!

Don't you have a book store near you? Like in a shopping centre?

There's a book store at the nearest mall (about half an hour or so away) but my mom won't let me spend money on books if it's her money, and I can't see paying $15 for a book :haha:

During school I read a lot, and I have a teacher who is amazing and lets me borrow some of her own books that she bought with her own money :D

Ahh, that's awesome!

We have a book shop/library in the UK called Waterstones and it's amazing  It's very...bookshoppy in a lovely vintage way, and all the staff are always so lovely

It has everything, even little stationaries and games and random cool things. You don't even need to purchase anything, just sit in their cafes and read!

You'd love it  If you ever get the chance to travel here, look for one of these!!

Lucky!! The store here is basically like any regular store, but with books. Our library is probably more 'bookshoppy' than our store, because I live in a small town and it's a lot smaller and more cozy

I only know one library near me apart from in my school and it's...ew. It's a council built one in a council neighbourhood so it's not very nice or well kept. I prefer going into town to Waterstones, I could practically live there :haha:

Aw, that sucks, but at least you have Waterstones

Not much really. I haven't been to the library in a few weeks because my mom has been really busy with her job and hasn't had time to take me, and because last week or so my grandma had to go to the hospital for heart problems (She's still there)
Basically the only reason I'm looking forward to school is having access to books almost daily (We have an in school library we can check out books from) and Spanish class :haha:

We have a small school (Theres only maybe 60 kids in my grade / freshman ) and so I know basically everyone in the close grades. Our classes have a few entertaining people though :D

Have you read The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West?

That would've been funny :haha:

I actually just started it :nerd: It seems good so far
As of now, all I know is that a girl got broken up with right before prom (like literally in the parking lot of prom) and she asks this random guy to be a "fill in boyfriend" (pretend they're dating) because her friends don't believe he's real
