This isn't exactly a "chat" issue, but when I tried to save an outfit as "Peacock", it told me I cannot use profanity in my outfit name. Firstly, my saved outfit names are only visible to me, are they not?.....and secondly, these filters are just a bit too extreme, that absolutely every word in the english language that has the letters c, o, c, k in them are yadda'd! Ease up with that already!

Ok...since I wrote this post, you've added weekly outfit contests.....so, yes, other people can see the name I give my outfits now. However, still annoyed that I can't name an outfit "Peacock" (especially since we have many clothing items with a peacock theme!)

I agree that the filter has outlived any usefulness. People who want to say "bad" words find a way around it, while those of us who just wish to have normal conversation are beleaguered with yaddas. If you wanted to keep a filter for some reason, do it in the public areas, but allow us to be unfiltered at home, please.

I remember when this "improved chat feature" was introduced in June '10, I believe. It was the beginning of weeks of no buddy list for everyone, and then upon restoration of the buddy list there was awful lag from then on, and was not an improvement at all.

Perhaps if you remove it entirely, the game might run more smoothly.

I know this is not a post about other issues, and I would have written a ticket, but my help tab is grayed out. . .
Since the update for chat filters, my tabs have not been showing correctly.

***UPDATE - Viking Jess was awesome and helped me with this - If you're having the same grayed tabs as me, pause your adblock. Should fix it right up!
