This was my first and last show. I was about 12 or 13, so it was several years ago. It was summer time, and I was OBSESSED with Panic! at the Disco. My birthday was in July, and for my birthday I got a P!ATD and Weezer concert ticket! Four, to be exact. I invited a girl I wasn't very close to, but I had nobody else to since I didn't have many friends. She was a really cool person though so I wasn't upset. The show was amazing! We were in the front row (not counting VIP) and I saw Brendon Urie very up close! I sung and danced a long to songs and gawked over how amazingly talented Brendon is. I got many videos, as a memory, and I got pictures of him going back stage. It's probably one of my best memories. I've never done anything like this! To this day, I still look back on that day and smile in joy at the best memory.

My first and only concert so far has been by You Me At Six who i saw on October 20th 2016, i went with a girl who I met from college, i wasn't really great with meeting people so when we met we instantly clicked by having the same taste in music and within a month of us knowing each other we decided to check out one of our favourite bands, You Me At Six. Once we were lined up and ready to enter the nerves were kicking in for me, it was my first concert and my pulse was pounding more and more as the minute got closer to the doors opening. Suddenly as we got closer to the front, the band members and their support act, The VANTS, shown up and they stood and waved at me and my friend as we seemed to be the only ones who noticed them at the time. Finally as we got inside we had to wait an hour while the venue filled and then the VANTS came on stage and the crowd wasn't as familiar wi their music so they stood and partially jammed to the beat but as they went off and You Me At Six came on, a huge roar echoed throughout the arena, the first song they played was 'Bite My Tongue' which also tends to be my favourite song as it also features Oliver Sykes whom is my biggest idol. With every belt of his voice made my heart beat to vibrations of the floor, it was absolutely phenomenal and i loved every second of it, me and my friend are going to Germany in a few months to see the band again and i can not wait. Im so excited to relive the feeling. :D

Yes…it was a Beatle in concert. And one who only toured once in North America as a solo act. So here’s the story. In 1974, the first Beatle to tour the U.S. (and North America) after the Beatles broke up was George Harrison with his Dark Horse Tour. He was trying to forge a career apart as a solo act but most of us were just hoping at the concert he could recreate the magic of the Beatles. I was fortunate to see him in Fort Worth, Texas, and even now am not sure why Fort Worth made the cut as opposed to Dallas or Houston which are much larger cities. What happened that night was not quite what I expected but allowed me to experience my most memorable concert experience.
.
Ravi Shankar opened the concert with his sitar, introducing the crowd to a new, unfamiliar sound and putting everyone in a mellow mood (along with who-knows-what type of smoke that filled the place.) Perfectly mellow, everyone waited for George to perform our favorite Beatles music. But Harrison’s performance was filled with new music and new lyrics in some old favorites (i.e.-While my guitar gently Sleeps?) It wasn’t familiar images we heard either--as global and spiritual images pervaded his music taking us into some far off, far out mystical place half a world distant from Fort Worth. But it was clear to see his talent through the incongruity.

The highlight was Billy Preston, whose presence lifted us all with a spark, an energy that I can never forget. His music stole the show that night and placed him at the top of my list of entertainers (of any genre) I’ve seen in person. He was enigmatic, electric, funky, soulful—and his music lifted the crowd to its feet, clamoring for more from him. We would not let him leave the stage for a long time, wanting all he could give.

I saw three musical geniuses that night who live on for me in my memory, and capture the vivid spirit of the 70s—memorable, mystical, flawed, but nevertheless--unforgettable.

The best concert I was ever at was, believe it or not, a lil wayne concert. This was years ago when he was coming out with hit after hit with drake and nicki minaj. The music was bumping and everyone was singing along and dancing. It was like the best party ever. So much energy in one room. My ears were ringing for hours after it was over.

I was just recently at a Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, Nelly and Chris Young all in one concert. It was so throwback, I loved it. Chris Young did a bunch of 90s covers at the end of his, and I knew all of Nell and BSB's songs. I honestly knew only 1 or 2 of FGL's songs, but I'll do anything to see my BSBs. At the end, they all sang together, tons of fireworks and flamethrowers too. Awesomesauce, total awesomesauce.

my best concert moment was my girls and i went to see Evanescence. Amy Lee was amazing, was very surprised she sounded the same as she does on her album. There was another girl and her mom beside up us who we ended up taking a picture with because they caught me trying to get out of there shot. so my face is in some random chicks photo. but also me and this girl were to short to see over the tall people so i said from that day on any concert i go heels are a must.

My best concert memory has to be the One Love concert to commemerate those who had lost their lives in the tragic travesty which took place in Manchester during an Ariana Grande Concert. It was truly amazing and an experience i will never forget. A great way to remember those not with us anymore and a great peaceful and patriotic event

Yep, you read that right!! :quiet: I was 14 years old (OK, OK, stop doing the math!!) and SOOOO excited to see my favorite group playing LIVE... and we were seated on the floor near the stage. They were awesome!! Classic rock, old school. They were popular just after the era of Woodstock, so how fitting is this tribute to them with YoStock theme launching today? :D :star:  Click here for a sample of their hits!! https://youtu.be/LzNG3DWg8Z8

But some of my faves were Frank Zappa with a full orchestra behind him. I was in the orchestra pit, and was within 6 feet of him. Then there was Alice Cooper, where i was between the stage and the first row. I was handed a drum stick. At an Aerosmith in Las Vegas Nevada, I was in the first row, and after the show, Joey Kramer handed me a Get a Grip drum stick. But bar none, in 83' at the US Festival in San Bernadino CA. Apple computers put on the festival and David Bowie was the headliner. There were hundreds of thousands of people there. He had not played in the United States for five years. Oh, I almost seeing forgot that I saw Bob Dylan with Tom Petty as his band at the Pacific Amphitheater in Newport Beach CA. My boyfriend and I had one good seat and one grass seat. We would take turns going back and fourth. That is only a very small portion of the shows Ive been able to see through my many years of concert going. On a note, when I was cruising the web, I found a site that asked for memories of the US Festivals. I didn't know it but the site was run by none other than Steve Wozniak, the founder of the home computer. I wrote of being able to take showers each night because I would sneak into the staff trailer. To my surprise, I got an email from Steve himself, thanking me for the memories. It was magic! :trophy:

Alison YOJ (114726325) wrote:Blast from the Way Past
1973 in the Stadium in Chicago, after waiting hours at ticket master, we scored 6th row seating for Elton John. It was a fabulous show and he was dressed to the hilt in huge rainbow shades, platform shoes, feathered capes and a sparkling white and gold piano. Songs included "Yellow Brick Road" & "Candle in the Wind". Great memory!

Starchild (5608809) wrote:One of my greatest concert experiences that I have had was when I went to go see Kiss at Chicago Open Air in Toyota Park, Illinois. I have been into Kiss since 2007, ever since I was a freshman in high school. I had never gone to a concert of theirs before. There was always something going on or I never could afford it. I almost didn't go this year, because I couldn't get a ride out there. So one night I was out with one of my friends at Tilted Kilt the previous night before the show. I asked him if he wanted to drive and I'd pay for his ticket. He agreed even though he didn't know anything about Kiss or any of the other bands playing that day. I think it was nice for him to get a first concert experience in his life. I had gone to concerts before, but this one was the one that I have been looking forward to the most. The journey to the concert made me feel like as if I was in the movie Detroit Rock City. At the concert there were many other bands playing. I enjoyed as many as I could like Antrhax, Megadeth, Suicide Silence, Falling In Reverse, Meshuggah, Rob Zombie. I was able to capture a lot of photos and videos. So when Kiss played that night, I was extremely excited, it felt totally unreal. It was a dream of mines to see them live during my lifetime and while the current members were still alive. The concert had everything you could ever ask for in the show, loud music, pyrotechnics, fire breathing, insane zip lining stunts, levitating drums, massive amounts of lights, and sooo much more. I was so happy and was lucky enough to make my way to the 4th row to see them closer. Every song that they played was amazing and took me through a great music trip. It was basically the best time of my life. I am so grateful that I had the privilege to go.

There was a change of weather before the concert started and the helicopter couldn't land the band. The concert was temporarily cancelled until it cleared. The crowd went wild. With relief. GUNS N ROSES back in there day was a concert to remember.

We went inside while our parents went and did their own thing. The concert was amazing and super fun! It was so very kind of that man to give us the tickets. Thank you so much for the contest!.

The first concert was pretty uneventful other than me defying my parents rule to wait till my 16th to get my ears pierced (in fact I got my ears pierced twice), the following year I got a third and fourth piercing which included my belly button. At the last concert just before they moved the event I was on the shoulders of my best mate who was a little over 6 feet enjoying the rocking beats of 'The Prodigy' fire starter when I toppled off, was squished by the mob of teenager dancers resulting in one broken arm and a couple of cracked ribs. Still the best concert ever because later when I was in hospital the band members turned up to check in to see how I was doing

Music is universal and there is nothing like seeing Tina Turner. She has it all!

He really put on a show for everyone! Being in the summertime it was close to my Auntie's birthday, she had the opportunity to go back stage and meet the country stars! What an amazing memory this is for all my family and friends!

CRS YED (134731730) wrote:Best Concert Ever for me was the 1981 Rolling Stones Halloween Night in the Dallas Cotton Bowl (open air arena). It began to rain during their performance, but that didn't put a damper on anyone! Fans used the concert floor for a slippery slide and Mik Jagger used his stage for a slippery slide. We all played in the rain and had a wonderful time, and as great as that was, it isn't the real reason I pick this particular concert for the Best Ever. The number one reason I chose this of the many concerts I have been to is because this was my very concert to ever go to sober. I had apprehensions about going at all, wondering if a concert could be any fun sober. As it happens, I had the best time ever, and best of all, I remembered everything, unlike most concerts before where my last memory was the opening band and the cloud of smoke rising from the floor and thinking, "Wow look at all that smoke" then turning to see someone passing a joint to me. After that, it was all a blur. I vaguely remember ZZ Top, Nazareth, Scorpions and so many others I saw before I got clean. I wish everyone a Best Ever experience like that one. It was the best surprise ever, to find out getting clean doesn't mean being a miserable or joyless!

Thank you all, so, so much for taking the time to share your stories with us. We had a blast reading all of the exciting, vivid and even touching accounts of what your favorite concert experiences were.
