coin run faux pas

I just got royally chewed out for "visiting a random person" that I "dont know" while making a coin run, and was advised to do my "fkin coin runs somewhere else".
Am I committing a YoWorld faux pas by dropping in on random people? I usually visit whoever the game chooses from my buddy list. I honestly "dont know" any of my almost 500 buddies personally.
Its getting to be a cruel world out there.

Sounds like a really rude and nasty person you ran into, you're better off without them. I'd be deleting their ass. There's a lot of better people out there in game so don't let that one ruin your fun good luck to you Charlie

Wow, I agree with the others -- delete that woman immediately.
That interaction is why I play 99% of the time offline. Then I don't get unexpected company, but I don't mind anyone visiting and doing a coin run while I'm offline.

But seriously, the rudeness was uncalled for. Coin runs are part of the game. She could simply have removed you, or at least been polite when asking you not to drop by.

I don't do coin runs often nowadays, but if someone visits me, I visit them back.

I don't add any randoms longterm, and I never trust anyone from this game. I only temporarily add people if I have to for whatever reason and then remove them later. The delete button is your friend, but I understand this game puts emphasis and pressure on adding randoms, though it is still a choice to remove them later. I love to remove people and it brings a lot of peace in doing so. I hope you find a happy medium and can decide what to do. I don't do coin-runs anymore so I don't encounter this issue.

Whoever it was agreed to be buddies at some point, so they are way out of line. 100% on them. You did nothing wrong. I don't know 75% of the people whom I find in my rooms when I log on.

I only do my coin runs with a certain list of people who visit me back. If a random person visits me, I'll return the visit just to get my reward. That person was rude; I'd delete them.

I forget where I asked this before, so I can't look for replies.

There have been complaints recently about the industrial furniture being so overplayed that "no one" even likes it anymore. Why are so many people still doing runs? I can see where 1000 coins a day is attractive when just starting out, but I see people at high levels who are getting 60K+ a day from ads and the other kind of chests also doing coin runs, which then seems not even worth the time. Same reason I don't even bother collecting my 800 coins from Bob. Neither would even buy more than one cheap coin item from a store.

Am I missing something?

Another thing I've asked many times, but missed any replies: does the person you visit on coin runs gain anything per visitor? That would make more sense, and I'll start visiting newbies if that's the attraction.

I never do CR because I'm too lazy, lol. I used to not like adding random people in YW but now that we can organize our buddy lists and put people into categories, I don't mind so much. I even don't mind adding people to FB -- although if I'm adding from game, I need to know them for awhile first. Forumers, it's different. I don't mind adding forumers to FB because I trust them more than I do people in game. Probably because I'm here more than I am there.

I'll add anyone to Facebook for similar reasons. I use the permission lists to control who sees what. Anyone that interested in the drivel I post for "Public" is welcome to read along whether they are my favorite person or not. The people I like and am comfortable with are added as Friends, not Acquaintances. I can honestly say that all forummers added to date are labeled "Friends".
