I'm really missing the gem event

I will miss the GE's a lot (I already do!)... with little else to do in the real world, decorating for a possible 25 yocash prize (even if i never win it) has been a highlight of the game for me. Looking forward to when they return.

Maybe in March the first GE could be extra special as a way to welcome it back! Better prizes, and maybe even a 2nd and 3rd place cash prize for those who score 5.6 and 5.7?

I miss the gem event. Now I just log on, check for gem event, return a couple visits, send gifts, and log off. A total of under 5 minutes.

You need to provide messages DAILY. Not everyone is going to go to the forum. And with the change, people will think its their game/equipment that is shoring them out of the Gem Events. I did. Thank you for listening. If not Daily a message thru the game then do it weekly. And if you did it, I MISSED it. I welcome the break, now that I know about it.

I come to you today with news about our February Gem Event.

"What is that news?" You may be asking. We are going to be going on a little bit of a GE hiatus.

If you're a fan of Gem Events, fear not. They aren't going away! We are just taking a temporary break while we focus on transitioning to HTML5. As you can imagine, that is a major task, and it is where all of our teams' priorities are right now. We want to ensure that we deliver the best possible version of YoWorld on HTML5.

Gem Events won't be gone for long! We plan on bringing them back for you all in March.

I want to apologize to all of the Gem Event fans for any disappointment that this announcement brings, and I thank you for understanding.

For those that enjoy and miss them I'm sorry for you but the break for myself and many others is a welcome thing. I wish they'd overhaul them so that they were fun again or give us a longer break between each one to get my buddy list and inventory and home inventory back under control.

that ^^^^ .... i quit them because they became a chore, tedious, too time consuming and the voting/scoring was a joke. after seeing so many brilliant entries getting low scores and seeing crap getting voted on whilst i was voting i decided to do joke outfits and rooms myself and test it. and yep my total crap entries were getting votes and mostly getting 50 gems but quite often getting 300 gems. some may miss them but for those that don't like them, we were only getting a couple days break in between each one. and trapping whole themes in them is unfair when people wanted them themes in store to buy

Agree 100%. I'd love it if they did a gem theme and then we had a break for as long as we spent in the previous gem event. This break has been SO nice and tbh I've spent more money since the gem event got placed on hold than I ever did while they were running. And, it's in buying stuff I actually want and not something that contributes to a random score. I've been so much happier with the game.

I do like the chance to get 25 yocash but Im ok with not having one. I usually dont decorate the new home until after the gem event is over so it is nice to decorate on time lol.

That, that and that! Yeesh! It was too much, too often, and so unfair that the cutest items were in gems. You should put them in the store somehow too. I enjoyed the game at first and then really got to HATE it. I'm very happy for the break as I wasn't playing it anyway lately.

I wish you would do that with the regular themes too - GIVE US A BREAK! When I started in 2009 the new themes only came out every month or two, the new furn came out on Tuesdays and everyone was so thrilled to see the new items. We had a chance to decorate and ENJOY the rooms with our friends and go to tour theirs as well. Everything is too rushed here. I get so overwhelmed I say forget it and hardly buy a thing.
