When can us iPad users start playing again?

I remember them saying mid month. Been playing since 08' so it's been a bit odd not playing for half a month. Also broke my leg on New Years Day and can't do much. I'm soooo incredibly bored, so hopefully it comes soon back for us soon.

Even if BVG makes the game html5 you still have to wait for an 3rd party app to update theres because ipads and mobiles could never play facebook games due to not having bulit in flash in there systems. Also we do not know what html5 is going to bring!

No worries, HTML5 games are playable on iPad’s browsers like Safari or Chrome. The HTML5 version of YoWorld won’t contain any Flash. I hope your leg is recovering well.

I know quite a few other games with much more complex graphics engines than this game that are mobile/iPad-friendly, so I find it a little surprising this game isn't ported or supported yet.

HTML version of YoWorld will contain no Flash at all. And all Flash games are dead already since yesterday, be they on computers or on iPads. That’s why YoWorld is converted to HTML5.

They are still working on it. They have converted FishWorld, which is also a BVG game like YoWorld. FishWorld is playable on iPad now because it is an HTML5 game now. But again, FishWorld is a much simpler game than YoWorld.

I am playing FishWorld now on my iPad just to test it. The game uses my Safari browser, the default browser of iOS.
Good job, BVG. Let’s hope your YoWorld conversion go well too, just like FishWorld.

Im surprised they haven't had something for mobile users by now, since smartphones alone has a larger market share then pcs or laptops....

As others said, HTML5 should be playable on everything with a browser. HTML is the most basic language on the web. Every other language builds onto it.

I imagine they didn’t bother creating a mobile game before because they knew Flash was ending and that anything built in the interim wouldn’t be needed staring 2021 anyway. In other words, they chose to add to the game than to waste time building something only needed for a couple years.
