[FEEDBACK] Christmas Vaulting (Jan 5, 2021)

Although I am standing by what I have said, this is not very good of you to be vaulting these 4 themes at once, much less now when so many people are having a hard time playing this game. This is something that could have been done later on in the year and only two themes at a time! Please save all the unique items from these themes, as in ALL Garland, bows, bushes, steps, snow, trees (Christmas and outside), baskets, Christmas lights, ice! It's daunting these were 4 very good themes with a lot of unique items that I know once they're gone you will never replace with better items. That's what makes this vaulting so terrible for decorators who use all the themes for doing a room.

So in a very watered down version this is what I would like to see in the Depot:

Snow. It's basic, can be used for your "Christmas" (in quotes bc this year was winter not Christmas) themes.
Snow covered fences always nice for winter themes. Bushes, shrubs & grass can be used within Christmas and winter themes.


Frozen water, paths. Again can be used within more than one theme.
Steps-great for any outside scene and can be somewhat layered to make a stair case.
These Christmas trees are by far some of the best in game. You can layer them to make your own tree as large as you want. Triple points they're coin.
Snowy Holly Bush 1 & 2 are pretty, versatile and look great with winter or Christmas scenes.



Grass & snow. Again, basic can be used within multiple themes.
Wainscoting. No reason this was in the furniture store and not the depot to begin with.



Icicles, while I really don't like some of these they are versatile and work within themes esp when you keep changing the color of snow.
Wacky snow mounds. These are massive and have great texture to them that make a scene easily and without wasting too much coin.
Paths - again versatile but something that prob should've been in the depot to begin with.


I left out a lot very specifically YC items. Why? Because while some are very nice looking overall they are overpriced (hello trees) and you come out with new every year that will ultimately be on some type of sale at one point or another. Please let us keep our cheap coin items as fillers.

The Interactive Snow Patch Seat WY2019 XM2019 is a must have since it can be used as a seating place on most light covered surfaces. Please include this staple item in the YoDepot.

All interactives should retire and not be vaulted and as Jane doe said all clothing + hairs should retire. You need to start thinking about the buy/sell part of the game like you use to before it's gone for good

i'd be more than happy with that... i hate the vaulting only because its crap for decorators because of the staple items. i would much prefer it if they expired all the hairs, faces, clothing and large decor items that are often exclusives anyway or put out on discount whenever there is a decor release. big items like with the thrones should expire... this could be alcoves, gazebos, interactives. the decor stuff i hate going into the vault are staple versatile items that we don't have any of in the game or use loads of. for me i hated the coin animals and NPCs going from AP2016, the coin chairs and kitchen items like the cookie jars, sprinkle jars, cake stands etc. from CB2015 and now the snow/winter stuff going into the current vault. there are so many bushes, snow paths, snowmen, icicles, birds, etc. that should be in the depot!

i really don't get the hold up. when they asked for suggestions they got loads straight away and i think we are basically all in agreement on the items we want saved

I’m good with this, too. All I am lobbying for is the vaulting of rugs, generic artwork, generic surface stuff (brick brak, mixing bowls, soap dispensers, etc.) I think that those are along the same lines as the outdoor stuff usually saved. People will still want theme version brikbrak, etc. we just need some things that work with everything to use as filler for themes we don’t love.

This is the closest I’ve ever seen players with very different playing styles agree. I hope BVG notices and rewards this.

Good way to put it Theresa. Things we need multiples of. That's what should go to yodepot. If it's just one or 2 of something then vault or expire away. It's the stuff we use a lot of to decorate with.

yep that's literally the only reason i hate vaulting and expiring because of the versatile cheap coin staple items

ty and yes i think basically that would suit everyone if they expired the other stuff and just shifted the cheap coin staple items to the depot
