    I am still not going to say anything. Just will agree with AG here. :quiet: :nerd:

I tried to add to her post, but everything ends up with cussing in it. Just gonna let it go for a while.......

When I first realized it I had a big page typed out. I just closed it out and left forums instead of posting. It seems pointless anymore. Like why bother? :dizzy:

You should have read my initial post. I would have been banned. I know better than to post when angry. Honestly, after that first theme and to see what they stuck in gem events. :phew: I am still angry that they will waste time on making UNIQUE things for gem events and then tell us they have a time limit on designing things for the store.....I better quit, I am getting angry all over again.

I don't blame BVG a bit as long as people continue to feed into it, they would be dense not to continue.

I am just curious, what do you suggest, what people should do? Skip gem events? Not going to happen, because people love some themes in these events... This theme will be loved for sure and BVG knows very well what they are doing...

I am not suggesting for people to do anything but there really is no reason bvg can't also put the items in store for higher prices and also give the option to get them in the gem events... BUT if people truly do want the events to stop, then yes, refusing to cave in to the gambling events is obviously the only way to stop them. bvg has a pattern of exploiting peoples gambling weaknesses. but as a compromize, the in store and continue gem events both would be a solution for both sides

Many people stopped participating in gem events because of this... But the thing is: there will always be people who want to participate and after other stopped, these itemes are even more "exclusive" and sell great, for people who pay YC for gems. Just look at some prices for Gothic items or Vegas outfits or now Doll outfits. I don't see it change soon. People who want those exclusive items will keep paying YC and for BVG is that great...

Great items, but I haven't contributed to a gem event in months and will continue to not do so. I don't think it's fair that the best of items get held hostage, especially for Halloween when sales should be the highest.
Honestly is everything, darling.

I asked once how is it possible that some items can turn 4 ways and items that come in store don't. I have got answer that different teams work on different stuff. If I understood correct, there is a team that works on items which come in store and another team makes items for gem challenge... That explains a lot...

they said in the last survey that gem events are themes that didn't survey well, its unfortunate but all we can really do is hope that if it has a positive turn out, it will become a theme one day.

I can understand why it seems that way, but financially it doesn't make sense. Yoworlds best earning deals ( or any free to play games) would be those rl currency deals, that beats yocoin converted purchases and yocash purchases by a landslide. It would actually hurt them to put the best themes in gem events, as they cant charge rl currency for any of them 20 YC spent doesnt beat $20 USD, yes the gacha mechanic helps but not enough to bring in hundreds of thousands. There are ppl voting in world that have different opinions than those on the forums and some may not have liked the dollhouse, but BVG decided to give it a chance in a the gem event. Which am happy about because its better than not having it at all.

 true better to have this way then not at all... but look how many times they shot themselves in the foot by NOT putting it in stores were people would have spent more buying multiples of the items too :eh:

anyway have a great day

I not only disagree with your statement, but I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DISAGREE. BVG has made it very clear that they make a ton of money off of all the gambling aspects of the game, particularly Gem Event theme items. They are obviously better made (in general) and of better quality and desirability than everyday theme items. Players begged for a Shabby Chic theme, and were pissed when the first one landed in the GE. Those SC items are still highly sought after. Despite profound further begging for an actual Shabby theme, a second round of Shabby Chic was put in a GE. People lost it. Eventually, BVG created an in-store Shabby Chic theme, which was popular but missed the mark by them using garish colors. The Gothic GE was also very popular and sought after. Where is a proper Gothic theme?

If you look back at at the one recent theme that Viking Nicki took under her wing and made a stand-out, RS2020, and the player-requested clothing packs that were during the following two Fall themes (again thanks to Viking Nicki), they all were well-received and people opened up their wallets to spend on those items. Those are sadly exceptions instead of a rule. Now for Halloween, instead of getting in-store highly desired themes, we get mish-mashed half-assed themes mostly devoid of all player suggestions.

Every single time I've checked the AH, the only EOT2020 decor items are the dresser and the cobweb. Are there really that few new decor items in this event?

Please give us an option of choosing whether we want clothing or decor as prizes. I would much rather open a livingroom set than an outfit. And why are decor items always won individually while clothing can come in complete outfits? It makes no sense when we get things like one single floor or wall tile. How about a nice couch and chair (not baked together) set?
