Postby Kath (109737351) » Wed Sep 11, 2019 1:23 am

Remembering the 2.996 people murdered, the 6,000 people injured, the heroic first responders, the additional bystanders who died of respiratory disease, their friends and families. We will never forget.

In the end, we will remember, not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

We will never forget. Our families will never forget. Their families will never forget. Religious zealots are a miserable kind of folk who think they are the ones on the planet who should exist. That is not the way God intended it.
All through history zealots tried to conquer using religions or politics or both. Hurting mankind or our planet is not the answer. Peace is the answer and will always be the answer.
Thank you for your post Kath.

After visiting the memorial/museum in July, I feel like the seriousness (not the right word but I can't think of it) of 9/11 has really resonated with me.

Forever in our hearts :rose:

 Will never forget.

Was just at Ground Zero in July, too. Such a very sobering experience in what is now one of the most peaceful spaces in New York.

I remember the lives that were lost in such a horrific act on that Tuesday, September 11, 2001. I also remember the first responders, those who died and those who survived, and all the people involved in the clean up and recovery operations. I remember the families of all those who were lost because of that day. I remember how things used to be before 9/11 and how things have changed since that terrible day. RIP :rose:

I will never forget that day when the world stood still and watched in horror as America was attacked. The pictures of those planes flying into those buildings were horrifying. I remember the people jumping out of buildings, the people covered in soot running for their lives, the first responders going into the buildings looking for people to save, the disbelief that someone would attack us in our own country. My husband served 34 years in the military fighting in other countries but this was our country, our land, our flag flying and it was so unreal. Never again must we leave our country so vunerable, so open to terrorists. That is why we must be so careful who we let in to our country as we never know who they are. God bless those brave souls and their survivors, their families. We must never forget!

Take 5 minutes today to remember those who we lost on this tragic day. Let us think about the police officers and Firefighters who died trying to save hundreds of innocent lives that day. Lets remember those who perished & pray for their families.
