I started in 08 on myspace and moved over to fb in 09. I miss the old auctions also. I remember the bulk lots of coin furniture in them and usually the person hosting would not let the auction go over the amount it would cost in store. There was more honest players than dishonest if you looked in the right spots. I also remember the monthly exclusives at least I think it was monthly I know it was long periods before we got a new release. It built up anticipation and everyone was always waiting around excited for it to hit stores. The furniture store was always crowded. I remember when they first made it so we could sit on the furniture chairs and sofas. Everyone was so amazed. :haha: We have come a long way from that. :haha: I miss the free gifts, I miss all the fun events yea we still see some from time to time but nothing like it use to be. I remember when yocash was like 500 coins to 1 or something along those lines. I remember getting sick of seeing all the red velvet items at every auction and sale because it was the it thing for the longest time. :haha:

there was consistency, very minimal glitches and just about zero lag back then. so the social game was thriving. the worst thing that came along was script kiddies, which i am greatful that bvg threw in the trash

I original found this game like in December 2008 on Myspace lol......I remember when we all looked noobie every single day!
I remember when even 20k was a lot, so I never was able to afford the pink retros!

I remember waiting for the 2009 Halloween things to be released since I love Halloween but the 08's were even too pricey for me at the time lol

My first "BIG" purchase was a 09 Medium Blue Bear for 35k and that was a big deal :haha:

Oh and the time when we could be out in YO and it would show us if someone was in our apt, I would have to go home and see because did not want to be rated down by some mean person  :haha:

I kinda miss the old days but love how the game has evolved and now can make our avi's look more like our personalities

I'm old enough to remember when the game was populated with a bazillion catfishing mofos. Every female stranger was an underwear model, a supermodel, or a high end stripper. Every male stranger was a bazillionairre, an underwear model with wash board abs, and could whoop your ass by glancing at you. I think I had more fun playing "Count The Lies" than anything else I did. I had mods that would go straight to their FB/Myspace while they were talking and pull up everything on their account. I'd use Google to unwind the lies. And then I'd introduce myself to the real them and try to make buds with their reality and not their fantasy. Good times.....

I am an old timer from 2009. I remember we had two days a week when we were so excited because new items came out. We burnt cookies, threw balloons at each other, were so excited to get free gifts from chests, YoAngels were abundant and we loved them, 1yc was cherished. I miss those days when we were close. It was easier making friends as we were not so cynical. I remember putting the puzzle pieces together and making new furniture. I remember the herbs, the candles, the towels, the coat racks, the blue mugs with steam, the Christmas cards. Those were the days!. I remember the YoAngel Alice who was so sweet. I wonder where they are.

I remember these same things and loved Yo so much back then. Even though most of us complained about the burnt cookies, it was really nice that they tried something new with the factory. I like the fact that they were giving us new things all the time without charging us for them, too. The jobs they introduced was a fun new change, crafting items in the factory, having friends sign up to help you get a car or a house. It seemed like there was always something fun to do and I looked forward to signing in each time to see what was new. I loved the splats with the balloons and having friends in the game really meant something back then. I really want that Yo back.

Yep, and random players could easily find their way into people's apartments and rate each other. And then it was taken away because people complained of getting bad ratings. People were rating rooms based on whether they liked the person or not. I wouldn't mind some sort of room ratings coming back, but the way it was set up didn't really work.
