I believe you are correct that they have to be purchased, and can't be existing inventory. I think both players have to be on at the same time to connect, too.

Yes, they have to be purchased thru the gift store & each party gets one half of the set.

Been thinking about it, and I'm not opposed to a community decorating area or such -- and some of my friends have tried it in the past, but it didn't work out that well. We'd all had to donate furniture to go in the properties and now that some of us are no longer friends, we lost out on that furniture :( Also, that ex-friend was not very open to decorating feedback. I feel that if I'm chipping decor items into a room/property, then I should have a say as to how they are placed in the space.

Hey how about you use all that Fairytale Fantasy and Royal India stuff on our room? It would make it look so cool!

**3 weeks later**

I wonder why we only have starter stuff in our room now? Oh no.......... :'( :'(

We have an option like this on IMVU, I think it’s a neat feature! For everyone who’s scared of getting scammed, maybe BVG can implement a feature where you can only get the stuff back you purchased.

It could work if items put in by one person could not be removed by the other. We've done this for years without a problem. I say without a problem I do suffer with Insomnia :haha:

If you think about it, its a real easy thing. The owner of house invites his friend to "move in" the friend accepts or not. the stuff belonging to the "owner" stays the owners the whole time. the stuff belonging to the "friend" stays theirs the whole time. nothing can be stolen or taken from another player. but each person could move things around the property. If/when they decide to not live together all a player would do is click move out and all of their stuff could be put back into their inventory. I personally don't see how this would be a problem. any suggestions.

It would be cool like how they have a "Shared Room" On IMVU.

Easy in theory, but probably a hella lotta code because each player would have to be given limited AND conditional access to other players' stuff, which couldn't just be "revoked". Removing the stuff and putting it back in inventory would be a whole 'nother piece of code. It might even require the addition of new databases, but someone more familiar than me would have to comment on that. Certainly doable in the "everything's doable if you have the time" way, but difficult and time-consuming enough that there would need to be huge demand for it.
