Wistman's Wood, Devon England. I was about 30 miles away and could not fit it in to my itinerary because I was working. But it will always be on my bucket list.........

I spent most of my childhood holidays in Devon as its the next county to mine My Dad took us to Wistmans a few times its quite magical. Puzzlewood is another of my favourite places to go, especially in winter, they hid the Iron Throne from Game of thrones there earlier this year.

This is an old Cemetary where I walk my dog the contrast between the broken gravestones and nature growing around and out of them fascinates me.

Wow, those pictures are amazing!   Did they leave the throne there for a permanent display or was it just for a while?

I quoted you, but I'm quoting you and a lot of other responses in here. My preference has always existed in the realm of fantasy. My rooms and houses all lean heavily in that direction. 75% of what I consume as entertainment leans that way. The first fictional novel I ever read was a Conan book. By the time that summer was over, I had read every single Conan book ever written. I was hooked. I read one of the books in 4.5 hours once and had no idea where I was or the time. I was literally transported in my head.

The world of elves has been a constant theme in lot of the fantasy fiction I've consumed. It has been brought to the big screen with the advent of CGI tech. And I just will never get enough of it. I'm a fan. Good elves. Bad elves. Magic drawn from nature. It just doesn't get any better for me. If I had my way, they'd do a forest elf theme, followed by a river elf theme, followed by a dark elf theme, and wrap it up with a visit to the mystic realms where elves go when they die. And I'd buy it all.......

Ive always been heavy into fantasy fiction vs Sword and Sorcery But if its fantasy I prefer long series
the Piers Anthony Adept Series was great
and right below Tolkien Is The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
The Belgariad by David Eddings was fantastic

Good lawd man! You were/are a degenerate! :haha: :haha: :haha:

I know a high school English teacher that insists whenever she can get a student to read an ACTUAL book, she considers it a win these days. :haha: :haha:

Piers Anthony was one of my absolute favorites... the true puntastic pun master. :haha:

And the Thomas Covenant series was amazing even if the hero is a monster for what he did in his first hours in the Land. As a kid, which was when I first read it, I had a lot of trouble dealing with a protagonist that would do that.

I also loved David Eddings, Barbara Hambly, Melanie Rawn and of course Anne McCaffrey. Did you ever read the Deathgate Cycle series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.... friggin amazing!

I dont know anyone that reads Piers Anthony Yet he sells so many books No movies..Samuel R Delaney as well
I stopped collecting his after ogre ogre But his early fiction, fantasy and creation of the juxtaposition of them was great! Split Infinity was a hallmark book!
