50 Shades

Postby Rod (126579776) » Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:32 pm

I have decided that this one room defined every reason why I enjoyed 50 Shades so much. I am a sucker for a balcony at night and the realism and detail in this one space was just perfect for my tastes. I didn't have to bury this room in overkill, cover a dozen things I didn't like, or reconfigure the space at all. I was able to just put the stuff in it I liked and enjoy it. It was one of those rare times I just threw money at the stuff and didn't tight fist it. I want a theme like this again. I don't care what BVG calls it, I just want something with class, done cohesively, and where I can feel like it's a spot where I'd move in. Oh yeah, and it needs to be in the dang store. I like all the wild assed themes we get at times, but I also enjoy the great "normal" ones as well. I know BVG can do it, because they have.

I agree realistic and night setting is just too perfect, love the room.
I see you have a champagne bottle standing by, in my world I'd keep the room and just have an Iced coffee! :haha:

I kinda hope we get more items like this.

I only saw the 50 shades house this week  when Cokey had an event in it and I am DEVASTATED I missed getting it when it was in store..... it was soooooooo beautifully done. I went and had a peep at Jess' old penthouse as she left it in its rare state and in every room I was kicking myself. I too, would have left it pretty much raw as the real estate spoke for it self. And needed nothing else. If we could get a house like that again I would be so happy. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Aww Jojo I didn't even think about you missing out on it. You really would have loved the theme. It is why they just need to find a different name for it and do something mature again. Here's the link if you feel like poking around.

A classy, realistic theme with a beautiful view from the home would be very welcome

I really like the bedroom and balcony in the Mediterranean home too. Daytime though.

That is by far the most beautiful room BVG has ever created, and it's a shame that the theme had to be pulled. Is the home at least still in stores?

Man, imagine with a cityscape balcony like that... What a Cyberpunk Balcony would look like. So many times have BVG had amazing opportunities to create amazing things or instill lasting impressions.

And they just keep letting them slide. We keep getting these non-urban houses. I would like to see more urban houses.

It's sad an entire theme had to go because of what a very small vocal minority had to say pertaining to the contents of one room, many of whom were secretly hoarding said contents to price Jack after they successfully got them removed from stores.

I searched for the Feedback thread for the 50s Shades Release where she had put up links on it, so players could see some of the released items in game and checkout the house. I just clicked on one of those links and it took me to the penthouse. :)

Oh dear. I am sorry to have misled you. I was making obviously a poor attempt at humor and seemed to have persuaded you to think I have emails about the next theme. I don't have emails from BVG. But I may or may not have hacked all the webcams in their offices. (That's another pathetic joke!)

Anyone have the sales stats from BVG broken down by theme? Bet 50 Shades shot thru the roof in sales over anything else ever in Yo history. I know I sure dug way deeper in my wallets for this theme over anything else in Yo history. I too hoarded a bunch after I got my home 1, home 2 and home extensions finished for this. :haha: If anyone is looking for anything just PM me....I'm only a few clicks away!

Outstanding job on that room Rod.....it's gorgeous I LUV it!

Unfortunately, this information is not available to the public, we can't really tell how any themes do in regards to specific financial statistics. What we can surmise with some degree of accuracy is how popular a theme is just by observing how their items are doing in the game's general economy, or how "hot" they are. How positive feedback is throughout the game is pretty hard to gouge at but while it's possible, requires some work.

In terms of real specific stats, BVG remains secretive about that.
