Thank you so much. Maybe Stardust should work with you on the pricing part? If you need some help researching some info, let me know. I might not be able to do tons, but I can do some.

Also, while everyone is throwing their wishlists out there....one thing that was great (to me) about Yorehab was that I could type in 10.0M and get all items that were estimated at 10.0M (or in that range). This was fantastic because, I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm looking to load up items in the AH, I'm often trying to earn as many coins as I can......so basically this was the only site and only way I could get some kind of listing of items of a certain value. I found this to be incredibly helpful.

Yes, I know I'm getting way too ahead of things, but just throwing it out there.

I'm currently exploring whether it'd be a good idea to implement a price guide into the website and if so the best ways to maintain the price guide. A lot of issues I've seen with previous price guides is that people running them (not all the time though) take advantage of it and force item prices up to benefit themselves.

If a price guide were to be added into the website I would probably have it maintained by a group of people from the YoWorld community or maybe make it so everyone can "suggest a price" for an item. Upon suggesting a price it is then reviewed and either declined or accepted. A similar technique is used for a website called backpack.tf which is a team fortress 2 price guide / trading website. They seem to have no troubles with the system and very rarely have issues with people abusing the system.

If anyone has any suggestions in regards to a price guide feature please do let me know and I will do my best to make something which pleases most if not all users.

Top of my head, if someone got a feed from BVG that included the AH average for each item since inception, the average would be reliable. As it is now, if someone is willing to lose 10% of their coin, they can manipulate the average for their gain. A longer term average would show the usual value of an item, not a temporary value.

Love that the original price is there. Thank you. I was saving up a lot of the yorehab news section just to get pics of the original prices but it got really tedious.

I doubt BVG would release a price API thingy so we could look up an item ID and have the average price returned, however it would be super handy.

There are a few options and each one will have to be explored to find which gives the best results

I really liked your suggestions 1WTC regarding this backpack thing to keep the pricing fair -- although I know nothing about any of this stuff or how to implement it, so I have no idea how hard it is. The problem I see with getting the AH's average price is that the AH's own average prices are wrong. (Different prices for same items is the most obvious one and I think there is an old thread on here that gives other exampes.) So unless you get access to the raw data, I think you're still going to be stuck with poopoo info.

That's my main concern with the AH prices as well they're not always correct, I will have to think about this more and see what I can come up with

Really glad everyone is enjoying it. Just looking into sorting out SSL at the moment, my current server doesn't support installing another SSL certificate for an extra domain. So I'm looking at configuring another smaller server and setting it up to communicate with my larger servers to resolve the issue.

So you couldn't use a wildcard with the tld to cover zones?
