Older themes that feel more complete and have more attention to detail plus more affordable with staple coin items which cost YC in newer themes are being vaulted back to back. Newer themes are often either repeats with a different twist of older themes, more expensive and often not designed as well as older themes.
It just drives me away from this game more and more.
Looking around here and in some Yo groups on FB I know I am not the only long time player feeling that way and that does make me wonder how long the game will be around. The argument "but they saved the game. Be grateful we still have Yo around" only stretches so far.

I feel the same way. It's starting to starting to remind me of Zynga's last months. BVG has stopped posting except for forum parties, etc. They rarely respond to posts regarding complaints that are referring to problems with their product and that's not good. People just want them to do their job correctly and at least have the common decency to respond when there are problems of their own making. You can't keep a business afloat by ignoring your customers and their concerns.

100% agree with you both! :drink: :trophy: its damn right rude to ignore their customers and yes they can post their forum parties and have time for them but don't have time to reply threads with problems or respond to the vault list. the thread about the hairs has been around since september and ignored by them. and like Mizz Libra said, in all these years of playing im at my lowest point too. i just can't be bothered now and just spend time going through the vault theme. and yeah they may have saved the game but right now they are killing it

That's another thing is it's almost selective as to what gets replies and what doesn't. This thread was created, as I have said a thousand times now, to shine light on what I see as a grave problem for Yoworld if it isn't addressed. If I just went to forum parties like some maybe I wouldn't be bored. I am not a fan of forum parties though and I used to go to them back when I was trying to be a "well known forumer.". Now I've broken the need to "fit in" to the forum club :haha: and just post what's on my mind. I like participating in fun events like pageants and corners games. However, no one really hosts anymore due to inflation in coins, and just not being enough players to fill up a room like there used to be. The other night, Friday night in central U.S time, at about 7:30pm, less than 2,000 people online. I don't get how that is sufficient. But with the "good enough" mentality, things aren't going to change.

Vikings have forum parties during their work day, when lots of people in the US and Canada can't attend. Anything they do during their workday automatically risks their largest combined audience to be SOL.

Member parties are a c---shoot. People attend based on the popularity of the host, which is dumb. Just go... mingle with everyone there.

As to everything else, as long as new players keep coming along, BVG sees no need to cater to older players or to strive for how it used to be. New players don't miss what they never had.

True to the new players not missing the old days, but I just don't see much evidence of new players. Yoworld's facebook page has over 5M likes, which should translate to about 5M players right? That FB indicates that at least 5M people are aware or were aware of Yoworld/Yoville's existence at some point in the game's history.

I was here during the best times of this game, in my opinion of course when events were packed and you had to pick and choose which events to go to because you knew you couldn't make it to all of them. I was also here when this forum had threads that moved so quickly that by the time you posted there were 10 more responses. Anyone who has been here as long as I and others like me have noticed that the numbers of those engaging are significantly less.

We have made suggestions to BVG from a player's standpoint on what we feel would be improvements to the game. Many have felt their effort to explain to BVG what was wrong in their opinions, was a waste of time due to lack of response. After trying year after year to suggest things to help the game we love, people get tired and give up. It is clear you are frustrated that people didn't respond to this post as much as they have to others and I will tell you from my point of view only, I don't want to engage in posts to discuss all the things wrong with the game. Not because I want to pretend the issues do not exist, but because so many of us have tried for YEARS to explain this game to BVG and now I just see a post like yours and I scroll on by.

The only reason I am responding is because of a comment you made regarding forum parties. If you are concerned about the number of players who are being engaged in this game, I would think you would appreciate that forum parties DO get players engaged. As someone who enjoys having forum parties, when my schedule allows, I have been told by some who have attended that being at a party is the most engagement they have had in the game in a long time. I know many who just log in now, click out of the pop-ups, collect coins, and log back out. So forum parties are a way to help current players stay in-game more. You should hold some parties and post them on FB, as you said you got some to respond here, to get players engaging, and maybe they will have fun and tell friends to join in.

I wish there was a way to move off of Facebook and for BVG to work on trying to bring in new players, but even back in the Zynga days, they relied on US players to force our friends to play so that we could get things or progress in the game. It worked for a short time. I miss events being what they use to be, I would love nothing more than to see this game thriving and around for years to come, but ultimately, BVG is gonna do what they are gonna do and there is nothing any of us, no matter how bad we want it, can do about it.

All of this :trophy:

 She knows.........

I also think that people run their course with any game. Games light up for people and then they fade. All of them. That's why the pressure is on every gaming company to come up with the "next" PacMan, SuperMario, Doom, Call Of Duty, GTA, Halo, Skyrym, and WOW. The attraction of a new toy fades for most people very quickly - and there's nothing wrong with that. It's what keeps the creatives working so hard to come up with that next HUGE game.

Yo has a hardcore group of fans and we put up with a lot because we still enjoy aspects of the game. And it is that continued enjoyment that keeps us here spending and chasing down giggles, rooms, outfits, coins, and items.

:)

Logic is never appreciated when it does not support the agenda, I guess. Apparently, it is more "fun" to just sling arrows from the doom and gloom train. Choo-chooo! :D

The game is not good enough, let alone the number of players.

We're used to glitches, high prices and low-quality items.I doubt a new player or a returning one would feel the same.

All I know is that BVG is making decisions based on income and someone, somewhere is spending enough money for BVG to feel that they’re doing things just fine and don’t need to make any of the requested changes.

Whether that is the long time players who are complaining but still shelling out lots of loot or whether new players are coming in (and out) frequently enough to be the bread and butter, the bottom line financially is fine, or BVG would be making improvements to keep more people happy.

Other thing to keep in mind… Older players have tons of inventory so many of them are just selling to make the coins that they are turning around and buying with. I know some old timers still drop a ton of money, but a lot of them might not be paying much to play because of their YoWorld net worth being so high already. Every week people pay me millions and millions of coins for YC. That’s all money BVG doesn’t make. BVG doesn’t care who spent what in the past. That paid past bills. Now it is, “What have you done for me lately?”

How many times have we seen people complain and complain and then on page 3 say that they’re glad that they don’t spend any money to play. That is NOT someone BVG is going to race to help. LOL

The glitches though. I can't believe how many things are broken or popping up since the transition. Someone starts driving a little car and everyone gets popups for having too much clothes on. I was leveling up the other day and my screen completely went grey.

I only use the forums when I'm asked to by friends, see a thread that was posted on facebook, or having problems with a game and it seems like the mentality Yoworld workers have is let's flood the game with crap and hope no one notices stuff we can't fix. After all, there are many things that BVG said they would acknowledge since the 2014 transition that was never fixed. Where's yoworld.com?

I went to a forum party just to see what it was and most of the people there are/were in a cliche I didn't want to deal with. I care 0 to what forum people think of me, but I have felt recently in replying to this thread, that maybe if the people who are agreeing to this thread would go to these parties that their opinions would be heard. I see the Vikings replying to, quite frankly, garbage threads, and ignoring threads to which they have no explanation to what the original thread starter posted about. In other words, they don't have an explanation that wouldn't be classified by the normal, unbiased forum player in any other way accept as "bulls***.

some people aren't interested in hearing your opinion coming out of your mouth. all they're interested in is hearing THEIR opinion coming out of YOUR mouth.
